...a Quest ...a Journey - Philippines 2010

On August 13, 2010, Quest Taekwondo of Redondo Beach, CA headed by Master Dean Vargas will embark on a 2-week elite training program to the Philippines. Quest athletes are schedule to train with the Philippine National Team and World Poomse Team. An elite National tournament, Samsung - Best of the Best, culminates their training program joined by no less than top players across the nation. Pauline Lopez and Ryan Tucker, both blackbelts and national champions, are set to be part of the school's 1st elite summer training program. This trip is intended for the athletes to raise their skills, knowledge and experience of the sport to a higher level. They hope to bring home with them the spirit of taekwondo as they felt it while training in the Philippines. The journey has actually begun from the time they vowed to submit themselves to daily intense and rigorous training in and out of Quest. Please follow their journey to the Philippines as they will be "blogging" about their trip. From the 3x's/day training schedule starting at 6 am and ending at 9pm, to the food that they eat, and most importantly the people that they meet. We are encouraging everyone to support them in anyway. Both Pauline and Ryan are doing a fundraiser for this trip by assisting in class, offering private lessons and having a T-shirt sale project. You can follow their daily journal of activities on this blog. Goodluck Quest athletes and more power! Go for Gold!!!
